Scope:

This course has been designed to meet the requirements of STCW section VI/2-2 and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.24.
Course is open to all seafarers who are designated to take charge of a fast rescue boat.

Objective:

After successful completion of the course, the trainees will be competent to handle and take charge of such boats during or after launch in adverse weather and sea conditions and to operate a fast rescue boat engine.

• Introduction
• Features of fast rescue boats
• Descending and lifting
• Handling fast boats
• Personal safety at sea
• Means of communication
• Impulse lifeboat for safety
• Maintenance boat's and their equipping
• Drills and final assessment

The Republic of Panama – Panama Marine Survey & Certification Services Inc.

Prerequisite:

• Identification card or passport
• 2 passport size colored photographs
• Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats Other Than Fast Rescue Boats certificate

Note to Client:

After successful completion of the course and examination at the Harbour Office candidates will receive a Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats Operations certificate issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
