Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Simulator Course

Scope:

The course is conducted in accordance to the requirements of STCW regulations B-I/12 and A-V/1 and section B-I/12.40 of the STCW Code and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Courses 2.06 and 1.06.
The training program fulfills the requirements of the SIGTTO LNG Shipping Suggested Competency Standard and the Liquefied Gas Mariner Training Standards published on June 5th 2007 by the LG Training Standards Technical Working Group.
This course is designed for personnel with little or no experience on gas tanker operations and for personnel who have limited direct experience of LNG tanker operations and are about to assume greater responsibility in the field.

Objective:

Upon successful completion of the course the trainees will demonstrate knowledge of the equipment, instrumentation and controls on LNG vessels; use of equipment and systems in various cargo handling operations; safety and emergency procedures on operations onboard LNG vessels; resolution of operational problems; loading and discharging operations.
