Ballast Water Management

Scope:

This course is intended to provide all company employees and shipboard personnel of all levels, who require a general knowledge an understanding of the requirements of Ballast Water Management as required by IMO Resolution A.868 (20) OF 2004.

Objective:

After successful completion of the course the trainees should be able to:

  • Be aware of the IMO requirement of proper training in Ballast Water Management
  • Minimize the transfer of harmful aquatic organisms and pathogens.
  • Develop and fallow a Ballast Water Management Program.
  • Maintain a record of all ballast operations.
