Scope:

The course is conducted in accordance to the requirements of regulation V/1-2 paragraph 2.2 and section A-V/1, paragraphs 9 to 14 of the STCW Code and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.02.
Course provides training at an advanced level for master, chief engineer officer, chief mate or second engineer officer and other persons on board oil tankers who have immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of cargo.

Objective:

After successful completion of the course the trainees should have a better understanding of oil tanker operations and how to take precautions to prevent potential hazards.

• Oil tanker design and equipment
• Oil tanker operations
• Emergency procedures
• Inert gas system (IGS)
• Crude oil washing (COW)

The Republic of Panama – Panama Marine Survey & Certification Services Inc.

Prerequisite:

Identification card or passport
2 passport size colored photographs
6 months certified sea service on oil tanker

Validation:

5 years

Note to Client:

After successful completion of the course and examination at the Harbour Office candidates will receive an Advanced Oil Tanker Operations certificate issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
